Clément & Laura’s Short-Notice Tiny Wedding
Washington, DC — Park Ceremony
It was a chilly day in March, yet perfect for an outdoor elopement.
I got there early like I always do. The park was moving with the typical walkers, joggers, and those gathering to chat. Still, it held a quietness.
Clément stood with a few friends, waiting for Laura’s arrival.
Laura’s Arrival
Laura came in with her parents and walked straight toward him as she navigated a beautiful arch, escorted by her dad.
And she didn’t just show up, she showed out.
She wore a long white gown, sleeveless and flowing, carrying a bouquet of beautiful flowers.
For an elopement with a few friends and family, nothing felt missing. A violinist played softly as Laura made her way through the arch toward Clément.
The ceremony started with the presentation of the bride. As they moved toward the vows, phones came up, folks leaned in to witness the couple’s vows. At that moment, an elopement stops being a plan and becomes real.
They kept it simple, yet elegant.
In DC, couples do have options. But they chose to have a spiritual minister guide the ceremony.
When they were pronounced husband and wife and walked down the aisle, that kiss was a picture worth a thousand words. A missed opportunity for me.
Reviews

A few days later, they sent this:
“Starlene did such an incredible job with our ceremony. She tailored everything to make it special for us and handled it all in a very short amount of time. She arrived early and made sure everything went smoothly.
Thank you for everything, you made our day.”
If you’re planning something small, short notice, or just want it handled without stress, reach out.
I’ll let you know what’s possible.
